Steeped in lore and tradition, these muffins come from a secret and ancient recipe belonging to The Muffin Man Moser in Shattrath City. If you give him enough gold, he may just share the recipe with you – just like he did with me.
[[Out Of Character/OOC: You can find the recipe in the World of Warcraft Official Cookbook by Chelsea Monroe-Cassel. Sold online at the Blizzard Store. I received it as a gift from a dear friend.]]
They may have been just a distant memory from a far-off land; but we are able to make these delicious muffins once again! Today, I will be baking them in our own very own Legion Test Kitchen! All without having to travel through the Dark Portal or tearing a hole in the wibbly, wobbly fabric of the time-space continuum.
I am a level 800 Legion Master cook and will be sharing with you some Master Tips today.
First tip is do NOT allow Nomi in Dalaran to bake them for you! He burns everything!

Use: Restores 4,320 health over 30 sec. Must remain seated while eating.
Legion Master Tip: Enjoy with a cup of pearl milk tea. Take the time to relax and enjoy them for longer than the required 30 seconds. Maybe share with your favorite Draenei picnickers.
When combining your ingredients, do follow the recipe by mixing the wet ingredients well using a whisk. Do not add your flour until the very end and only mix it until combined. You never want to over mix flour and risk conjuring a Gluten Monster. The Gluten Monster is an End Boss who is impossible to kill even with a full raid team. She is just very tough.
Legion Master Tip: Weigh your flour instead of measuring it. I use a scale and measure in grams. 1 cup of flour = 120 grams. 1 cup of rolled oats = 99 grams. Rolled Oats ≠ Quick Oats.
Check out the latest invention to come out of the Obliterum Forge. Silicone Baking Cups! Muffins never need stick to your pans again!
Now it’s time for the Lich King Moment: Prepare the Icing! It’s not a pain in the Arthas, trust me!
Legion Master Tips for the maple-nutmeg icing:
- Measure your confectioners sugar by grams. 1 cup = 115 grams
- Sift confectioners sugar AFTER weighing.
- Add a healthy smidgen of salt to help counter the sweetness
- Maple Syrup Flavor (just a few drops) enhances the flavor of Maple Syrup
After 25 to 30 minutes of fel fire, allow your muffins to cool first in the pan and then on a wire rack with a sheet pan underneath.
Once cooled, using a spoon or a spatula, simply drizzle your icing and allow it to drip down the sides of the muffins.
Legion Master Tip: Beware of Goblins! You’ll see there are only 11 muffins. One muffin magically disappeared before any icing could happen.
You will receive 12 delicious, apple-y, oatmeal-y, spice-filled muffins + 1 messy kitchen.
Cleaning your kitchen while consuming a muffin allows for faster gathering of resources and you will become well fed and gain 375 Mastery for 1 hour; or until the sugar crash. Whatever comes first.
Final Real Life Conclusion: I really like this cookbook. There are many awesome recipes I’d like to try and give you my virtual spin on them. Plan on seeing reviews of other recipes in the near future on this blog.
